Republicans need a 12 Step program. First step is to admit they have a problem. Haven’t seen that yet.

I see no contradiction in healing and uniting the nation while at the same time prosecuting those suspected of wrongdoing. And removing from political life those convicted of the higher offences.

In fact, I find the latter (prosecuting) as a necessary condition for the former (uniting and healing), since there is no possibility of finding a common ground for those who incited and carried out the attack on the Capitol building.

Get rid of the scum that aided and abetting the criminal takeover of the Capitol, then talk to me about unity.

The thing is, you often can’t tell if someone is really stupid, or just intentionally obtuse for the sake of his followers. I’ve had the same question about some of the pro-Trump media types, like O’Reilly or Hannity…although in the latter case I suspect it’s a choice between obtuse and evil.

First we must get rid of the disease, cut out the infection, remove the tumor of conservatism which is the enemy of the U.S. Then we can heal.

Mr. Payne insists on behaving like a frolicking idiot: It is not a “battle of impeachment”, it is a DUTY TO IMPEACH. The legislative branch has a DUTY to be a control on the executive branch. If a member or members of the executive branch break the law (high crimes and misdemeanors) it is the responsibility of the legislative branch to maintain the rule of law.

If Pelosi ignored the multiple, massive infractions, you would then be quite correct in bringing it to public attention. She is in the legislative branch. Joe Biden is in the executive branch; he has no part in impeaching or convicting White House mice, much less Trump. I suspect you are just pissing in the soup in the hopes that nobody will go near enough to examine it.

Face it. Anyone dumb enough to vote for Agent Orange is way too stupid to understand why Trump needed to be impeached even though he’s leaving office. They think he deserves the Nobel peace prize.

Note that as soon as Republicans are caught dead to rights and pinned to the mat, they start whining about healing and avoiding further divisiveness. After viewing many Payne commentaries I come to the conclusion that he is as lazy in his drawing style as he is in his application of logic and truth.

Tsk! Henry, Henry. Why not a cartoon about how the GOP is losing its donors? You see, they’re on the nose with lots of people. Healing from cancer involves removal of the tumor and ongoing treatment to ensure it doesn’t come back.
