The truly scary part is that if you ask any of the Mango Mussolini’s Minions EXACTLY what he has to justify their worshiping him, and following him SO CLOSELY, they have a really hard time coming up with Specifics! It’s usually some garbage like “He’s saving America from the U.N.”, or “He’s just so great!” or similar vague nonsense.
That we have allowed a dysfunctional political system to divide us against each other — even during a global pandemic — is the really deplorable fact. To no longer have respect for reality and deny the inevitable changes that are occurring, whether we like them or not, is not rational or sustainable … the demographics of the population will change, the world will get uncomfortably warm, and there will be more life-threatening pandemics. Living in a fairy-tale alt-reality will not stop reality from imposing itself. Irrational hatred of the OTHER has become the dominant force in our country. Secession may be the only peaceful solution to prevent the slaughter of innocents that occurred during our civil war.
My family and I left the Republican party when Nixon/Goldwater renounced all that we believed the party to be and starting welcoming the white supremacists and evangelicals who craved theocracy. There has always been an element of bigotry in the US but it was suppressed by a desire to be our better selves and treat everyone equally as the Constitution and Amendments tell us to. That suppression has been turned off in the alt-reality and is allowing bizarre interpretation of what America stands for.
As the Kochs, Mercers, Adelson age and [now] die, there is hope that the propaganda and disinformation deluge will end, a singular truth/reality would once again emerge, and working together America will grow and prosper. Trump has unfortunately revived that withering bigotry/hatred — hopefully the last hurrah — that is dragging America down for just a bit longer.
4 years ago few though trumps rally cry “Build the Walls” had much of a chance.. how wrong you were. Walls, virtual and real, are trumps accomplishments.. to Americans chagrin.
We had a cocker spaniel that show his terrible teeth and bark in a very threatening manner a those who rand the door bell while you were restraining him from the attack. let go of the collar and he ran to the rear whimpering. Don, of whom we must be beware is in the bunker if he perceives any physical threat – real or imagined.
Mr Bennett says so much with his artwork that not more than a few words are needed if at all. There is a reason for that Pulitzer Prize thingy in his trophy case or wherever he has it.
The Republicans gave an egomaniacal sociopath racist, xenophobe, & mysoginist with a spoiled child’s disposition a lot of power and are amazed he turned into a rabid dog that soon turned on many of them. They all need a short leash for that. The government is supposed to serve and protect the people, not the other way around.
Don is not the threat. He himself is toothless. He couldn’t even fire people without Twitter or a surrogate. The threat is the angry, unthinking army who assume to know what is right.

Actually the Don’s fairly easy to handle. Simply throw him a hamburder. Or a Twitter account.
