me thinks this is a failed experiment.

Didn’t someone once come up with a device that fit over a vacuum cleaner nozzle and had spinning blades in it? The idea was to suck the hair up as it was cut.

My barber has figured out how to maintain social distancing while cutting hair. He uses a tree trimmer.
