This Bug is not only funny, but spot on true! I’m a retired special education teacher. I taught math to kids with behavior disorders and learning disabilities. I loved the work and my students(confession: some more than others) as well. But it was a grueling task, physically and emotionally. To describe how taxing, I’d explain that I could tell what day it was by how tired I was. Also, to get it done, I dared not even think of fun things til quitting time on Friday. Right, so now, as an old retired guy, the days, a la Ruben, still have a feel! For instance, I keep several varieties of real tasty craft beers in the frig, and I literally feel guilty if I drink one on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. It’s crazy!
When you’re retired, all days blend together. You need to check to see what day it is every day. If you don’t need to check, you are probably not senile yet.

Way back when I was in the printing business ( I was Gutenberg’s apprentice ). We had a calendar with a few modifications….
First, it was numbered backwards. If you needed your job yesterday, no problem. Bring it in on the 15th, and we’ll have it done on the 14th.
The week had two Fridays, because everyone wanted it by Friday.
And every month had at least five weeks…

Everything has changed. I can’t tell one day from the other. This is the new normal. And it’s here to stay.

Do days have names? For an indeterminate period of time that I think has been long they all seem the same.

At this rate, by Tuesday it will be Thursday; by Wednesday, it will be August; and by Thursday, it will be the end of existence as we know it.
