Pence won’t do it. To do so would, quite literally, put a bullseye on his chest. The crazed ones have already said they want to hang him for his “ treachery” for defying Trump on the Senate certification.

It’s just the way trump is.. humor him. Its worked so well in the past, hasn’t it? Surely insurrections and a runaway pandemic would have happened anyway even if the senate had stepped up and completed that little impeachment thing. Surely there are no republican senators thinking.. perhaps we shoulda.

Pence almost found a vertebra on Jan 6th. But he came back to his normal toady self. He’ll NEVER make that bold of a statement.

When did Pence change his mind? Up to now it’s been reported that Pence does NOT want to invoke the 25th amendment.

It seems as if most people associated with the president develop a conscience or, at least, reach their moral limit after a while and then resign.

Pence invoking the 25th? Without consulting the chinless turtle? Jesus! Stop it! You’re killing me. And as if the rest of the Republicans would go along with it any way. They only uphold the constitution when it suits them.

Reminds me of the joke where two cops spot an older guy flashing in a park. The say, “Don’t you think it’s time you retire ?” “No”, says the flasher, “I’m only 61 and I’ve got to hang it out another year before I can collect Social Security”. Often wondered what he did for a living.

If he hasn’t done it now, he never will. I guess being the target of a lynch mob isn’t enough for him.

I seem to recall that “enemies” is mentioned in the Constitution as “enemies foreign and domestic”.

I find myself wondering for that reason if the individuals who stole classified data during the attempted coup can be charged with espionage, too. Certainly, if domestic ISIS members had done this such charges would occur if at all possible, as well they should.

As to the elected officials involved:

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/fourteenth_amendment_0

    QUOTE

    Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

    END QUOTE

“The silence of good people is more dangerous than the brutality of bad people.” Martin Luther King

    You can not spell “sedition” without i d i o t s
