Poor mailmen, not only do they get bit by dogs, cats and other critters, they are the but of many not so good jokes. Then on top of all that mailmen, have been canceled. They are now called (postal carriers).

Got bit only once as a Letter Carrier in D. C. Dog was there day after day and never even barked. Then one day when I went to step over him, he bit my ankle . Surprised both of us.

I’ve heard that people taste like pork but then what does Odie know anyway.

My MIL had a Yorkie that hated pregnant women. She avoided most people, pretty much, but the pheromones pregnancy creates drove her crazy. This came into play when a mail carrier reported a bite by the dog. MIL’s mailbox was on the corner of the house, right beside the driveway. All you had to do was reach over a chainlink fence to access it. The mail carrier said she was bitten by the Yorkie, in the course of placing mail in the box. Funnily enough, the Chow wasn’t named, only the Yorkie. MIL told the post office the carrier must have 1) entered the fence, and 2) be pregnant. A pregnancy test was returned as positive, and the matter tossed. Totally weird.

Mailmen taste like chicken? Is that the reason why Garfield always attacks the mailman?

Wait, when you bite something, you can’t really taste it. Does this mean dogs eat mailman flesh?!

Another of those ancient myths that’s still going around?

My current mini shar pei girl and her recently-passed border-beagle sister ADORE our mailman! My border-beagle used to howl, then CHASE HIM to get pets!XD

I always knew there was a reasonable explanation.

I’d think that the dogs are territorial? And they don’t like when Mailmen come on their territory?

Mailmen obviously eat Kentucky Fried Chicken between shifts while delivering the mail if I were guessing. #kfcscent :)
