This latest action could have been avoided had the republicans shown any spine when they voted to ignore the impeachment.. but they didn’t and emboldened trump carries on. And, sadly will for the next 2 weeks.. and will continue being a negative mouthpiece.

I don’t know how likely impachment/removal is, given the unlimited lack of character on the part of senate Republicans, but one strong recommendation for at least trying is that someone impeached and removed is barred for ever from holding elective office.

It’s a damn shame that five people died from this (one of whom was a Capitol Police officer who was hit on the head with a fire extinguisher), and that it took goo gobs of National Guardsmen from DC, MD & VA to finally drive them out.
