A long time ago I remember reading something that there was some “regulation” that prevented airlines from showing films about air disasters. If that ever was true, I doubt it is any more.
they aren’t getting smart, they are getting EXTREMELY stupid, as if the terrible service isn’t enough now they are ACTIVELY discouraging people from flying! There’s been a running joke about getting a bit of money in the short term that would result in losing MUCH more in the long term through bad reviews and loss of repeat business, but I can’t take him unironically calling them “smart” for any reason.
