I’m not entirely sure the doctor is to blame here. I am sure the doctor does his best with the limited resources at his disposal. Mamet is not what I would consider the ideal patient.
I went to marriage counseling with my wife, who was 24 years older than I. After several sessions, the psychotherapist told us we were two people who did not belong together. So, we broke up … with the therapist. We were together for another ten years until her death in 2006.
