“History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“If a man has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing…” “To fight for the right, without question or pause; To willingly march into hell for a heavenly cause…” Neither quote is King but both come to mind when I remember him and the changes his life have made to our society.

A few days late but nice! I actually went to some of the myriad of Trump bashing cartoons on MLK Day and posted that quote…in vain. Boy did I get skewered!

Isn’t National Brotherhood Week coming up soon? Oh, wait!!! We replaced that with Black History Month and MLK Day…and, basically, like a dog begging for treats tossed an entire ethnic culture a bone and said chew on it quietly and behave. People who behave rarely create positive change, why then are we surprised that more change is demanded every few decades. Skin color does not denote worth, should not relegate status and must not be the sole determining point of social interaction.
