never skied in my life (on a snowy slope or on the water while pulled by a speeding motor boat)

Better to have them do the chores the day before they want the ride to and from the ski place

In the 1992 version of this comic strip, the characters did not have strapless ski helmets on. The change makes a little difference, because with the helmets drawn on, you can’t tell that Michael is talking to Gordon.

For a brief moment there, I was whisked back to 1992, and was on that hill with them all…I enjoyed that!

This is one of my LEAST funny punch lines. Oh well, you can’t win ’em all!

Okay, I’m with the boys on this one. All that sliding down hill on skinny 2×4s is exhausting. You earn all the sitting between the adrenaline injections.

I only did cross country skiing until we stopped getting enough snow for me to ski across the fields on and around the farm where i grew up. Snowfall dropped dramatically in the 80’s compared to the 70’s.

Don’t like to quibble, but I’m not seeing any actual skiing in the strip.

I think the last panel on the 2nd row should be the first panel on the 2nd row.

“Strapless helmet”. What keeps it on?

I wondered if that sort of thing was happening. There are a number of strips that are in “recycle” mode. (Not complaining. I’m glad they’re there.) I noticed that occasionally they have updated a date, like on New Years, etc. And some of them seem a little different than I remember them. Though even without the updates, in a recent Boondocks run, Huey’s anxiety over the bird flu epidemic from, I guess 1997, is eerily similar to what’s happening now.

T-bars all day are tiring. Certainly moreso than chairs.Anyone that skied Panorama in the 80s with the 1 mile long T bar knows what I’m talking about!

Gotta go with the kids on this one – skiing all day, yes, you are exhausted. Chores, sure, but not today.

In spite of all the recreation, that WOULD be an exhausting day

Whoa, old-school ski lifts. I’ve never seen any without backs.

Do you still expect the kids to do the chores, they would rather snore!

It’s exhausting for sure, but also it looks like the parents spent $60 per kid for lift tickets and chalet food in 1992 US dollars, probably $100+ today, so I hope they do some serious chores at some point in gratitude (unless it’s job money)
