I always liked school, at least the classes. It was much quieter than at home with my three younger brothers in a house trailer. I could read during class and no one would bother me, as long as I kept up with the lessons.

I remember when high school had spirit day. I didn’t know that this is what it meant.

It was worth a try.

Here’s an example of what I talking about regarding either Calvin’s imaginative perception or cartoon physics in the strip. Does anyone really think his mother tossed him face-first onto the sidewalk outside?
