Setting realistic expectations is the most important part of welcoming the new year, My brother’s like this where he’s expecting that Biden plus vaccines will equal an awesome year. It certainly can’t get worse but I’m not expecting it to get much better. Viruses mutate and theres only so much one man can do to fix this country.

Not fantasy if folks have a positive outlook like Bernice and are the change they want to see in the world! We have every reason to believe this coming year 2021 the US will do more for climate change. With more people working at home dealing with this destructive virus it made an unintended difference! Believe in Science and be the change! Take out stock on alternative energy and our future!

Okay, Bernice, don’t waste paper—try making a happy collage with “no” and “face”. You can choose either “no face” or “face no”. Then, on to the ransom notes.

Wonder where this is going for this week…COVID-19 talks? Pretty late into the game, Greg. COVID-19 has been here for nearly a year. Especially for California where it is one one of the worst state with sky-high cases since February so Greg has been immersed in that environment. And just now he’s talking about it? He did not mask up his crew either. Wonder why he is doing this now?

Hi it almost seems like 2021; I suppose we are so anxious to get past this disastrous beginning of decade 3 of the 21st century. Keep in mind that 2020 was really the last year of decade 2, 2021 is the actual beginning year. The trends are moving forward in so many ways but one thing I can testify to teaching at community college is that her headline collage pretty much reflects today’s Gen Z (Zoomers). They want to work on the things us Boomers messed up, although we point out, but for us they would not be able to look forward so confidently. Not too bad fellow Boomers actually. And they are tough.

Hey, now! Bernie just reminded Me of Elvis Costello and the Attractions song, “What’s so funny about Peace, Love, andUnderstanding?”

An “Optimistic Bernice!” Who have Thunk?

    For Her, THIS is progress.

It’s as though Bernie was temporarily “possessed” Delta, or something.

Nice “idea,” Bern. Too bad a bunch of super wealthy old geezers who stand to lose a lot of Dough are going to stand in your way. For the time being, at least.

Just like in the distant future, an older You will be standing in some young adult’s way. Maybe even a newly “Socially Conscious” Shannon.

    “Circle of Life and all.”

Now, if you’re DONE with that paper, hand Me the Sports Page.

I’d to enjoy a second cup of COFFEE while I read about My Beloved Miami Dolphins and their recent moment of Glory! :)

I was doing something else tonight and totally forgot about the Monday drop at 1AM ET. Wasn’t yesterday a she-it show. It would be nice it we could label yesterday with a “Don’t read the comments” warning. People everywhere seem to be acting like this is the new year also, but that doesn’t come until Friday, which is a long way from Monday. Grodd knows what will happen between now and there.

Bernice is doing Motivational Posters, you know like ’Hang in there, kitty." This sounds like something Tiffany could actually get behind and make a few bucks. Low cost start-up, hands-on saleswomanship. Modest profit and repeat business as Bernice thinks up more slogans. Of course these days kids could whip out a poster on a computer and not deal with newspapers or glue.

For some reason, students think that you fix things by complaining, Everybody complains about something. Cable service sucks or car insurance is too high, or ’I’m making six figures in Silicon Valley and I still can’t afford a house.’ Nothing will ever happen to fix those things unless people complain, ie, protest. College kids do it because they are the most idealistic people in the world. They want things fixed. Old people do it because they was things fixed. This shouldn’t be a complaint about ‘the kids today’ but an acknowledgement that young people care.

Shannon is a one-note punchline a lot of weak strips. I think people who annoyed with her do so because she is a one-note character that’s being worked too death lately. She’s never puniished becaise she’s a punchline and not the set-up to a joke. There’s never a fifth pane showing her being a time out, a slap on the wrist or an old-fashion over-the-knees paddling. (some commenting system have a counter that tells you how works you have to work with… Please read the comment to this to finish this thought.

I read an article the other day that Venus is uninhabitable because of global warming brought on by too much carbon dioxide. Since no humans were involved, it goes to show that climate change is due to normal planetary dynamics and will happen with no human contribution, whatsoever.

G&K have their characters worried about “climate”. They might be better to be worried about the National debt, Individual debt, and the economy. The US debt is at approximately $27.5 Trillion and when the “relief” is added the debt goes up to $28.4 Trillion on a GDP of less than $21.4 Trillion meaning the ratio of debt is nearly 133% to the GDP. At 170% debt to GDP the US dollar loses it reserve currency status. There are at least four major states in horrible financial condition in 2020: New York, California, Illinois, and Michigan. This comic feels like it’s being printed on the SS Fiscal Titanic , it’s full steam ahead into that insolvency iceberg.

Considering the rise in Standard of Living in India and China, plus the rest of the Third World, there may not be a “fix.” Rise in SoL means rise in energy consumption. Use of “nonpoluting renewable energy” is not concentrated enough. The world environment is destined to get dirtyer, no matter what the First World does.

This seems like the kind of thing that Luann would do followed by Bern make a negative terse comment like ‘…why don’t you actually do something instead of makin cut-out posters?..’. Bern is trying out the more optimistic laid back approach to life. It helped her get over her mental block toward Ben and his kids (the way she sees it).

A new year is coming, which is reason enough to celebrate! We will always have the haters, the racists and the plain ole knuckleheads, but we don’t need to let them run the narrative anymore. And if Georgia comes through again, well, hey, we can celebrate that also! Be excited to be here folks, we all know people who aren’t.

With all the real problems and tragedies in the world, it’s depressing that Bernice would concentrate on something as fake as “climate change”. Anyone with half a brain can look up all the doom and gloom predictions from all the way back in the 70’s and see it was all BS. They use fear to try to control people and take your money.
