How can helping people who can’t help themselves be considered Socialist? Look at Australia that doesn’t have anything like a socialist government.

I’ve done my share of bashing Nutter Buttercup and Ha’Pence and probable will continue to poke at him personally, but debating the results of the election does seem pointless from here on. The states have spoken in louder voice than at any time in our democratic history. Let it rest.

If you’re going to use a word because you think it’s scary, you should first find out what it really means. It would also help if you provided a reasonable basis for your assertion. For the record: People who have supported our form of government (a constitutional republic) all their lives (and who have a considerable record of having done so) tend not to suddenly change gears to a different ideology. By the same token, people who have had an authoritarian bent (with racist overtones) all their lives ALSO tend not to change, as we’ve seen these last 4 years.

What in particular are you complaining about: Social Security public education, public libraries, medicare, and Medicaid, firefighters, police force, the military, sanitation services, national, state, and local parks and recreation areas, safe public transportation? and which of those would you like to give up?
