It must really be driving people like Ramirez nuts that Biden is putting in competent and intelligent Cabinet members. Those “failed” policies kept the US out of a second Great Depression, saved many industries, renewed alliances worldwide, and reversed a tanking stock market and bottomless deficits. I’ll trade that for whatever Trump gave us over his last four years.

SOMETHING needs to counteract the ROT from Trump’s toady political appointees made up of incompetent administrators and corrupt judges! How many of Obama’s people ended up in prison and needed presidential pardons to get out of jail free? Hmmm?

Behold the GOP’s institutional fear of a black man. How pitiful.

BTW: relatively speaking, Obama was still a centrist left-LEANING President; hardly the socialist pariah the GOP makes him out to be.

But then, the GOP needs it’s villain to excuse their ineptitude.

Oh great. I just got my gun stockpile back up to where it was before Obama took all of them. Now Biden well be around to collect them again. Will have to start saving so I can buy more guns when a real patriot like trump gets in the white house again.

Obama gave health care to millions of people who did not have it. He dug us out of the great recession that Republicans had gotten us in. He had a budget that was getting us out of our devicit. Trump came in, gave the wealthy a huge tax cut and blew up the devicit and has tried every way that he can to take away health care, always promising that he has a great health plan that will be released within two weeks. He has no plan. I hope Biden does as well as Obama did.

I guess that the perfect Present for Michael Ramirez is, Trump? Under who’s total lack of leadership 250,00 Americans have died of Covid-19 and millions more Hospitalized? Died, Mr. Ramirez, died! Is that really the kind of of President you find “Perfect”? The kind who, instead of leading, goes on a golf trip instead of doing his job? Really, Mr. Ramirez?

Not so sure why right wingers are so concerned about the economy under a Biden Administration, those convinced it will tank can always short a stock(s) and make money off other people’s misery, so it’s a win-win for today’s GOP…

So, a good thing, right? There is no way that you can look at the last four years of chaos and buffoonery and suggest that somehow the Biden administration is a problem.

Of all the posturing of the Trump apologists and of the GOP partisans in general, this stikes me as a very weak pose. Review the nominations the current President made. He was certainly not rebuilding a previous cabinet, but rather attempting to blow up the adminstration. He succeeded in creating a level of corruption unequaled since the Harding administration.

Are people like Ramirez wishing to continue the process of destrying the adminstrative state and engage in self-enrichment?

I used to liken Trump to Harding, but that’s unfair – Harding did some strong pro-social things. Trump has only attempted to use fear to divide us.

Playing the same game, Biden reminds me of George H. W. Bush – a competent public servant who wishes to turn the heat down and get stuff done. That’s not a bad temperment of president to have right now.

If you loved the Trump actions – wholesale packing of the courts with conservatives, slashing regulation, and destroying the parts of the Executive Branch that regulate – why were you wanting this done by executive action? These actions are majority-level unpopular with the electorate. You wanted a dictator. You got a dictator – a self-serving corupt dictator who is too lazy to even read briefings and listen to others. You are calling for the the ending of American democracy. Just so you can have your chance to have less regulation of the economy and more regulation of people’s personal lives.

Ramirez – why don’t you do a series of comics about this administration working as hard as it can to destablize the results of the election and to make the transition as close to impossible as possible? Or, do you approve of this as another step in the destruction of our democracy?

(Yeah, yeah – we’re a republic, not a democracy, some of you think. Shove it. You want slavery back, is that it?)

Gee golly! If you have the opportunity to pick people, and you want the best people around, you’re going to pick the same people. The term ‘elite’ is a compliment, not a slur. Who turns down the ‘elite’? Football teams? Law firms? Universities? Oh hell no. They’re exactly who we want.

Talk about evil rising from the dead: Today’s Yahoo reports that some Trump backers, including Flynn, are calling for tRump to ‘suspend’ the Constitution to head off Biden taking office.

I don’t think it would work even if tried. Nevertheless, I hope this is just some fringe crackpot idea that won’t amount to anything.

Of course Biden will use people he’s worked with before, andtrusts, and who know how to hit the ground running. He has to,since Trump is sabotaging anything he can to make Biden’s jobharder. If you had someone actively trying to sabotageeverything you did, wouldn’t you surround yourself with peopleyou trusted, and who already knew the job they needed to do, andwere good at it? No? Seriously?

Obviously, people who found Obama awful would find Biden awful too (though probably not quite AS awful, because he’s white). So this is perfectly sensible and correct, from that standpoint. I do think it’s cute to draw Biden as a vampire, for much the same set of reasons.

PS: I disagree entirely, but see what Ramirez’s doing here.
