Oh, I’d press charges, Mr. Fogarty.

And a decent lawyer could get you a few bucks in an injury lawsuit.

In some schools, the football coaches have power. Where I went to high school, the football coach had to teach classes.

In some places Fogarty certainly could take legal action. If Pitt High was a football factory though, its likely that some allegation would be made against Fogarty to clam him up else the school board would can him, just depends on how powerful those “Friday Night Lights” are in his particular county or region. Since Pitt strikes me as the type of place where 2 – 8 or 3-7 would be a good season, I say go for the coin Fogarty!

In most states the College/University football coach is the highest paid public servant. In middle and high school, not so much. So he probably wouldn’t get much.

More proof that football is dangerous and the coaches encourage it.

Unfortunately, even after the pandemic, some schools still place sport’s over academics.

Sounds right. But the coach was protecting the student from the teacher’s manhandling.

Fogarty’s lucky the coach didn’t put HIM in as Quarterback!
