To paraphrase an old saying about golf it can be argued that “fishing is a good nap, spoiled”.;D

Kind of like the difference between a hunting and finding.

Between voting and participating in your community.

Easier to catch salmon in shallow waters. With only yer bear hands too.

They learned it in their younger days when they were dating.

Although it’s nice to catch something, it’s just nice to be out with a buddy and/or enjoying nature and the solitude. Then there are the ‘war’ stories.

The “fishing” is to get out for a visit.. and they know the “catching” is on the way home at the grocer

My dad loved to just fish. If he actually caught one, then that was a bonus.

R+R comes in many styles ….. Fishing is one of them ;-)
