Netanyahu and Trump are using a poison pill to end any chance of a nuclear treaty with Iran. They are willing to risk a war, fought and paid for with American gold and blood, rather than seek peace. Like Trump’s skill at solving covid, “let’s shoot for record cases and deaths of Americans, while we spend billions creating a vaccine.” Trump’s dystopian future for America can’t end soon enough….
Trump certainly killed off something that had been working, with Netanyahu’s blessing. Netanyahu’s been itching to drag the US into another war fought against his enemies, with little or no risk to themselves.
We (meaning the world) HAD an agreement that was working.
Iran’s nuclear program was shifting from weapons to scientific research; Iran’s political landscape was (very slowly, to be sure) shifting toward a more pluralistic, open society.
But no, Israel and the Saudi’s got what they wanted – a convenient demon to blame for their problems.
I’m starting to wonder if Trump has requested a recount of the ballots for the Nobel Peace Prize. Is TIME’s Person of The Year still possible ? . . . . /s
That so many have lost trust and respect for other human beings defies all the progress that the world has made in becoming more rational and civilized. When we question reality itself because it does not align with our point of view and create a non-factual alt-reality, we doom our future as reality does not care what we have conjured up and will assert itself … e.g. AGW [climate change].
To not trust and respect math, science, facts, and evidence and instead deny them favoring loyalty to a single person — a dictator — over a results-based meritocracy is madness. I both pity and fear those who will not accept the world as it is and are unwilling to work with others to make it a better place for everyone. Those who do not try to understand, trust, and respect others are themselves not understood, trusted, or respected. The key to trust and respect is knowledge which is acquired through open communication/education through reliable verifiable sources not prejudicial biased propaganda/disinformation.
“Two years after President Donald Trump announced the U.S withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, Tehran has resumed its enrichment of uranium, restarted research and development on advanced centrifuges, and expanded its stockpile of nuclear fuel, cutting in half the time it would need to produce enough weapons-grade fuel to build a nuclear bomb.”
The true canary in a coal mine was America’s recent 4-year experiment with an intentionally non-functional federal government. We got out just in time. What did we learn?

But here’s the rub…All the investigative agencies said that Iran was living up to the deal, before trump pulled us out.
Trump was probably bribed by Israel and Netanyahu to pull out of the deal so they would have a pretext for first strike.
