I don’t know which annoyed me most – the fact that they were playing it so early, or the singers who insist upon adding their own spin to the tune. I love November. It contains the only holiday that hasn’t been commercialized up the wazoo. The original Thanksgiving declarations of both George Washington and Abraham Lincoln very pointedly say that it is a day to give thanks to Almighty God for his blessings and protection.

October and November are the favorites of my wife and I. We ignore all commercialism… watching no network TV helps a lot.
