    Technically, not actually a customer if he doesn’t serve him.

    Sigh As I’m often wont to point out, the hemlock potion that Socrates was obliged to drink was almost certainly vegan, fresh & all-natural, minimally processed, locally sourced, sustainably and organically grown, free-range, low sodium, no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, hormones, or antibiotics, and trans-fat-, DDT-, SO2-, NOx-, GMO-, MSG-, HFCS-, BST-, BPA-, CFC-, VOC-, vaccine-, fluoride-, gluten-, gelatin-, glyphosate-, PFAS-, PFOS-, PFOA-, tree-nut & peanut-, lactose-, acrylamide-, sulfoxaflor-, neonicotinoid-, and now microplastic- free. Nothing whatever synthetic; the exact opposite of an ultra-processed, chemical-filled food. Killed him anyway…

    The point being that “all natural” and/or “organic” and/or “minimally processed” doesn’t in any necessary way mean that something is healthier, safer, or better for you. Likewise, if something contains some chemically sounding ingredients, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s bad for you. Science by its very nature cannot ethically offer certainty; for that you need religion, or snake oil. Life simply isn’t that simple. Bon appétit!

    (BTW, I strongly suspect that those Impossible™ Burgers, loaded as they must be with all sorts of food science jiggery-pokery, aren’t, on balance, any more healthful or “environmental” than the “natural” alternative.)

    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny Jack the barman’s customer care course was a waste of time since he was rude to the bloke asking about a special beer and our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is staying neutral :o) my avatar is about a pie chart with the percentages that LEGOS are used for , when my sons were little I used to be in the biggest category and kept stepping on them on the way to the bathroom :o{ , how was your day? today is a religious public holiday dedicated to our LADY of the Immaculate Conception for whom Connie is named her actual name is Maria Concetta , our day should be busy but calm I hope , by errands I meant a lot of things like buying essentials in bulk from supermarkets to taking Connie to out-patients visits or hair dresser , anyway we both are in a good mood :o) keep safe and thanks for caring pal

    One would think that the recipe for all beer & ale is plant based [and gluten free] unless the yeast that does the fermenting is what makes it non-vegan.

    Heads up! Neither barley, nor wheat, are gluten-free, and thus neither is beer brewed from those grains. There ARE gluten-free beers, but… See: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/best-gluten-free-beer#gluten-free-vs-gluten-removed

    I’m with Jack. Customer service is one thing; absolute nonsense deserves such a response.

    Drives off a paying customer to make chin-music with a free-loading sot. Many other patrons milling about, Jack?

    Before taking the customer care course he would have called him a silly twat and thrown him out. Personally I wish he hadn`t taken the course.

    Was being rude one of the topics covered? If so, I’m sure Jack passed with flying colours. Haha.

    @Afficionado

    I’m sure stepping on a Lego is bloody painful indeed! Poor you.

    You’ve just reminded me that I need to go to the hairdressers. Going to try next Tuesday which is the day before my birthday.

    Me and my Mum have just been on an errand. We went to the supermarket and bought my birthday cake (Galaxy Ripple) as well as some teabags, sausages and I think some beef. Can’t remember everything. Haha.

    Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. Love to Bella.

    EVEN WATER IS NOT TRULY SAFE TO DRINK EVERYWHERE. GALLON OF WATER COST AS MUCH AS GALLON OF GAS OR BEER AT STOP AND SHOPS. FEEL LIKE THE BORN LOSER.

    This one is a lager. I don’t think it contains any dairy or meat products either.

    Cigarettes are vegan and gluten free, but that doesn’t make them healthy.

    While I do remain far away from alcohol, I would be a little cautious around any locale which uses any original content other than grains or fruit. Though I do not partake of it I believe the contents should be strictly vegetarian.
