A doctor in Missouri has made a video simulating what a patient dying from Covid-19 might see – in a bid to urge people to wear face masks.

Dr Kenneth Remy told the BBC that “wearing a mask is not as uncomfortable as having a piece of plastic put into your airway”.

He said he felt compelled to create the video after noticing the impact of a patient’s death on his team.

He made the video right after that, and you can tell from how close he is to breaking down how much he means it.

The first outbreak of Covids in Korea was in a church in Daegu. The members of the sect were sneaking into China to convert Chinese and brought it back to them. The spread it all the Peninsula via visits to other chapters of that church. Korea worked hard to bring it under control.

A moderate outbreak came when an infected 29 year old guy went partying in five different clubs and exposed over 1100 people in a single weekend. The exposed people spread it across the entire peninsula and it took the government almost a month to trace, track, and isolate most of the exposed.

The second major outbreak was at a church in Seoul. Again, it was spread across the Peninsula by the members visiting other churches. Again the Korean government is trying to get it under control. That was almost 2 months ago, and the infection rate is about 300 people a day.

Mask wearing is mandatory, and you can be fined if you go out without one. Given that Korea and the US had their first case on the same day, and Korea has had less than 400 deaths, you can tell who’s dealing with it better.

The point is, churches were ground zero for the major outbreaks and clubs were ground zero for the moderate one.

We can only imagine what the world would have been like if the native-Americans had ended the infestation on the shores of what is now Cape Cod.

Michael, it’s “We can have church (services) ONLY ON ZOOM?” “Only” is THE MOST MISPLACED word in English and you’re one of the culprits perpetuating the ignorance. Here’s a humorous reminder of how to modify what you actually INTENDED to modify:

Only I poked him in his eye with my stick.

I only poked him in his eye with my stick.

I poked only him in his eye with my stick.

I poked him only in his eye with my stick.

I poked him in his only eye with my stick.

I poked him in his eye only with my stick.

I poked him in his eye with my only stick.

I poked him in his eye with my stick only.

Sure, you can meet in large groups to worship. You just don’t get to use my ventilator in case I need it. Your God will protect you just fine.

This one is small minded even for you Mikey. How conveniently you choose to ignore hundreds of thousands of current deaths that might have been avoided. And ignoring the fact that the pilgrims brought small pox and measles among other illnesses to decimate the native population is an even nastier insult.Grow up Mikey

Go to church, Mr. Ramirez, squeeze in there and holler and stomp. Don’t wear a mask. Spread disease and cause innocent people to die. No one is trying to trample on your civil rights, Mr. Ramirez. They’re trying to SAVE YOUR LIFE! It is your right to be an idiot, but it is unconscionable that you should try to influence other idiots to risk their lives too.

Ramirez has been pretty strongly pro-mask, pro-sanitizer, and anti-gathering in the past, so I’m not sure how to parse this one. I have trouble believing the intended message is “Public health violates our freedoms!” but I also have trouble seeing it any other way.

They were thankful for the blessings they had – a difficult trait to find these days. The hardships only made them more grateful then. Now it seems the hardships are only reasons to divide us if we let them.

In case you missed it, SCOTUS just granted mega churches the right to hold super spreader events at a time when the US medical system is collapsing from overload. The trouble with stupid is it doesn’t confine itself to its own gene pool but takes down a lot of innocent lives. The irony of the “Right to Life” right insisting on the right to kill hundreds of thousands unnecessarily is a bit like their insistence on the death penalty for murderers, but only the non-state sanctioned ones. State sanctioned ones like Trump and his minions, or Mitch and his Senate which will allow unnecessary deaths to pile up to try to ensure future Republican wins are fine by the Frothy Right.

Dear Michael Ramirez: When you say: “Most people don’t die from it.” what I hear is “The thousands of people who die from Covid every week are insignificant to me.”When you say: “We have to get back to our lives.” what I hear is “The response to Covid should be tailored to my tolerance for inconvenience regardless of other people’s safety.”When you say: “I don’t live in fear.” what I hear is “Keeping me at my home or from my church is a violation of my freedom” what I hear is “The most pressing injustice right now is my inconvenience, not other people getting sick and dying.”

When you try to frame efforts to control a major pandemic as one party’s attempts to curtail political freedoms, I reply, “Yes, that is correct: think of it as a Medical Stand Your Ground response and suck it up because I’m not eager to have your Libertarian BS kill me or my loved ones.”

Don’t worry folks. THE ORANGE IDIOT"S latest subtraction to THE SUPREME KANGAROO COURT, Aimless Amy Barrett, led the barrel of monkeys into deciding churches were exempt from limits being placed on attendees to houses of god. If you attend a church and die from COVID, can you sue god?

Good news ….supreme court says; “You can be as dumb as you want, if you can work GOD into the argument.”

You know when these dumb bells get sick, they’ll be crying for help. Please don’t go to the hospital…go to Temple or Church…see how that works out.

I see that the Supremes, being such paragons of science that they know better than anyone what’s needed, have ruled against New York’s rule that places of worship must follow the distance and size rules. Amy C. Barratte’s master had her vote with the majority on this. Idiots in all directions.
