Trump is over-riding safety precautions to place Christmas wreaths at Arlington. Because nothing says “respect the troops” like endangering others while insulting soldiers that are not Christian.

I guess there is a point to this; but many of my days in the Army were exactly like that including the “run around in circles”. There was no “rub tummy, pat head”; but there was “pick this up and take it over there…what’s is this doing here, it’s supposed to be there…What are you doing with that stuff, bring it back to where it was in the first place”.

Yet the President can give definite orders to his Proud Boys, “stand back and stand by”…

Coherence is not our soon to be former president’s strong suit.

The failure lies squarely on Cheney and the oil industry, so anxious to get their hands on that sweet, sweet Iraqi crude. They needed the troops that were supposed to stop the Taliban from escaping into Pakistan to invade Iraq. So, the Taliban were allowed to escape into safe harbour for their comeback.

If you have to make war, at least do it intelligently.
