There’s a horrifying video. In it, you can watch Elise Ortega coming out of a grocery store in Bakersfield Cal. and, as she’s about to open the back doors on her van to put her groceries in, is hit by a stolen BMW driven by a young woman who tried to turn into the lot at far too high a speed.
When the driver turned without braking, the car lost its grip and, skidding sideways, SMASHED Sra. Ortega into the back of her van, cartwheeling her into the air.
The driver and 2 young male passengers legged it away after picking their belongings out of the car. They made NO effort to even look at their victim, possibly because they thought she was dead. And it is truly amazing that she wasn’t killed or catastrophically maimed, but she is still laid up with a badly broken leg that makes it hard for her to work and may need hardware-implantation surgery before it will even start to heal.
The cops have made no progress finding the perps so far.

Actually, we don’t know if they are related. If they aren’t, it could be catastrophic for the little kitten.
