Alan and Wally better grab onto Duffy, because it looks like a wild ride is coming and that amulet seems to be the E-ticket!

Aaron Neathery seems to be inspired by Tolkien’s fall of Sauron here. No complaints, though. I think Tolkien would be intrigued.

That tower has gone to Hell in a handbasket. Sure hope our heroes make it through a portal in time.

Is that Jim’s shouted face in the first panel explosion? It sort of looks like it right below the crashing eye sockets…..but then, we do look for patterns…..

Well, we’ve in “in the swirl” for months now, if not the whole year.

Never seem to get completely down the drain, though.

Interesting question, though: Would this “reality” have imploded had Wally and friends not popped up in it?

Also, whatever became of those mechanical sharks?

    Anybody remember the mechanical sharks?

The ones that almost grabbed Duffy off the ditto ark?

Hokay, panel 1 I think I see most of the “face” disintegrating, panel 2 I haven’t a clue unless it’s a pathway for what’s coming up in panel 3? Panel 4 Duffy’s still holding on to the amulet with an iron fist. Anyone? Comments?

Now, if anyone can recall a long ago comic on the subject of ‘Um Tut Sut’ you’ll maybe know why this reminded me of it…

In the previous take, it looked like God/Ted/Eye was preparing a massive burst of fire to destroy Wally and co. And then Duffy presented the amulet – with its eye. I have to wonder – did God/Ted see this ward and not want to destroy it? Like there was some kind of link to him/it. And at that point lost control of its blast, like the walking dude at the end of The Stand when he set off the nuke. It almost looks like it turned inward and imploded him. Now we have to see where Wally and company end up — looks like the string holding the charm was incinerated, and the tower’s collapsing around them.

Part of me wonders if the next panels won’t be Wally coming to and looking at a light fixture. And the token was a LITERAL token like ‘here is another quarter’. Like a case of having another go but trying to get things right this time. Like the tape recorder.

This reminds me that there’s a risk of fire with RING door bells. You should check to make sure your RING isn’t at risk of setting your home/tower/dimensional portal on fire.
