Many of the American traditions we’ve become used to — showing tax returns, divesting business interests, etc — have been violated by the “president” and we need to prevent further erosion of our republic by an out of control executive branch.
Fortunately, General Mark Milley, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has said: “We do not take an oath to a king or a queen, a tyrant or a dictator. We do not take an oath to an individual.”
Especially since #45 insulted the military on numerous occasions, sounding remarkably like his beloved Hitler when he said he was smarter than the generals.
Right now, #45 is facing multiple lawsuits and criminal charges from which he is only shielded by his office. Once he is out, the hammer falls. And he knows it. He is desperate to stay in, but he can see the walls closing in. Protesting the “Deep State” is another way of saying “how dare they serve the Constitution and the American people instead of ME?”
Of course, his incredible incompetence is perhaps our best defense against a coup. If he hadn’t had the enablers like Moscow Mitch McConnell, he would never have managed to stay in office at all. As soon as he becomes a liability, he’s gone. Plus, as someone pointed out recently: “he couldn’t organize a one-car funeral.”
Might be plausible, except that The Donald doesn’t like to read… maybe he can get his minions to read it to him, in short spurts due to his limited attention span…
There will be no coup…a coup requires enormous resources, planning, and cooperation from the military (a military that Trump has disparaged from day one). Considering the lack of any strategy let alone effort made for curtailing the corona virus, what gives anyone the impression that a coup could come from this administration ?Donny is just making noise to keep the dollars coming in from the faithful.
It’s kind of surprising he’s stuck to a single enterprise for this long. Wouldn’t be surprised to find he’s inclined to duck out of it, but someone is playing him like a chord organ and leading him around by the ego.
If this weren’t a cartoon, instead of Dummies, he’d be reading the “…for DFT” book, with the plastic-coated cardboard pages spotted with pictures and TRUMP in easy-to-spot caps multiple times in every paragraph.

I saw last night that “lame duck a l’orange” has decided to put Rudy “Friar Tuck” Giuliani in charge of the election lawsuits. That should go well /s.

Dummies? More like imbeciles.
They had meetings in the dark because they couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lights.

First, don’t telegraph to everyone month’s in advance that you are going to take over the country by destroying the post office to rig the election.
