Trump Disciples NEVER question things they are required to believe:
Their Messiah is 6’ 3" and not obese.

Trump is not racist — and neither are The Disciples. They just don’t want blacks to be allowed to vote. And if they do vote, that’s fraud and none of those votes should be counted.
Trump will have the Republican* health plan ready to announce in about two weeks. That will be followed by an infrastructure plan.
Trump is a Christian. (They cannot distinguish between a Christian and a “christian”.)

It’s the only thing Trump is hanging on to now – hope that he can get Republican legislators in certain states to appoint the “right” delegates to the Electoral College.
Frankly, the more I read up on the subject, the more I realize that, frankly, we do not have a “president elect” until 06-Jan-21 – the day the votes of the Electoral College are actually counted. Quite frankly, much to our dismay, Trump could have waited until then to allow a transition team – or launch yet another legal challenge to the results.
Frankly, if Trump were smart, that would have been the thing to do. (Blow everything off until 06-Jan-21, that is)
But the one thing that has saved this country is that Trump is not smart. No one else was able to – or wanted to – stop him.
Trump pretty much stopped himself.
But back to the point: The Electoral College doesn’t function as a deliberative body chosen to select a president. Tradition and state laws have changed it into nothing more than mandated gerrymander.
A gerrymander in which a few thousand votes in smaller (not necessarily the smallest) states matters more than the millions of other voters across the United States.
A gerrymander that invalidates Republican voters in upstate New York and California as much as it invalidates Democratic voters in the cities.
Moreover, between so-called “faithless Electors” and Trump’s own demonstrated efforts to corrupt the selection of Electors, really folks, it’s time to ask ourselves:
Is this really how we want to elect our president?

Nobody involved in Donald Trump’s reelection thought the president would win the youth vote in 2020. But they didn’t think it would be this bad.
Now the finger pointing has begun.
When the data came pouring in after Election Day, campaign aides and Trump allies alike were struck by the president’s poor performance with the 18-to-29-year-old crowd — especially in a cycle with surging youth turnout.
In nearly every Midwestern battleground state that mattered to Trump’s reelection, the president performed worse among young voters than in 2016, according to a POLITICO review of state exit polls.
Trump ceded ground in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, two states he lost. He also regressed in Arizona, another critical state that slipped away.
In several of these states, the erosion was considerable. In Pennsylvania, President-elect Joe Biden won young voters by a 20-point margin, compared to Hillary Clinton’s 9-point advantage in 2016.
In Wisconsin, Biden won the state’s youngest voters by a 16-point margin, a dramatic rise from Clinton’s razor-thin edge in 2016 — and a significant swing in a state Trump only lost by 20,000 votes. Michigan saw a four-point shift from 2016 to 2020.

To Trump’s critics, Biden gained ground with young voters because of who his opponent was: a divisive politician with a culture wars playbook that failed to energize audiences outside of his base.

“The Republican party has no future if it doesn’t improve its performance among younger voters,” said Michael Steel, a GOP strategist and former top aide to House Speaker John Boehner.
“I’m not a fan of top-down autopsy processes,” Steel added, “but I do hope the end of the Trump presidency is a natural inflection point and a time to reboot to some extent.”

The GOP (didn’t) roll out a new party platform ahead of the 2020 presidential race, instead opting to declare fealty to President Trump’s agenda. So, what does the Republican Party stand for now?
It’s important to realize that Frank Luntz has been the preeminent Republican Party messenger for the past generation.
This is someone who, through his focus groups and his polling, has had the pulse of the Republican voter better than anyone.

And so I continued to press him on it. And finally, he himself grew a bit exasperated and he said, ‘Look, I’ve tried to answer this, but I can’t. I don’t know the answer. For the first time in my life, I don’t know the answer to this question.’
“Honestly, I can’t remember a time in my life, and Frank said the same thing, that you just struggled so manifestly to come up with any sort of a coherent definition or description for a party.
And so we laughed about it. And obviously, I don’t have skin in this game. Frank does. He’s a longtime Republican, and he sounded pretty worried about it.”

Brendan took my question and kind of scoffed and said, ‘Owning the libs and pissing off the media. That’s what we believe in now. That’s what the Republican Party is all about.

We have heard the excuses for voter-ID requirements, opposition to vote-by-mail and voting-roll purges. It’s about voter fraud, you see. That is bunk, as President Trump essentially admitted Monday morning.
In an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Trump referenced proposals from Democrats in the coronavirus stimulus negotiations that would have vastly increased funding for absentee and vote-by-mail options.
The final package included $400 million for the effort, which was far less than what Democrats had sought.“The things they had in there were crazy,” Trump said. “They had things — levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”
He was referring to the $400 million included in the stimulus package to help fund voting-by-mail on the understandable assumption that, in a covid-19 environment, voters may not be willing to risk their health to vote in person.
Before getting to Trump’s main assertion that high turnout — i.e., robust democracy — is injurious to Republicans, we should underscore that without voting-by-mail, Republican voters (who skew older) will likely be just as affected by the pandemic as Democrats.

Back to the more fundamental problem: Trump, lacking the filter most Republican operators have, blurts out the unseemly truth that the more people who vote, the worse Republicans will do.
It is no wonder that Republicans — who disproportionately rely on the shrinking portion of the electorate that is white and older — have shifted into high gear since the Shelby County v. Holder decision invalidating “pre-clearance” in the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
They need to extend the dominance of white voters as the electorate becomes more diverse and less amenable to messages of white resentment, antagonism toward government, racism and xenophobia.
How can you support both “democracy” and the “constitution?” “Democracy” is the mob rule the constitution was created to prevent! A note to all you American communists- The “US” is NOT a “democracy.” It is a federalist constitutional republic. No charge for the history lesson.
It is an interesting choice that the things that are considered “Carmen’s things” are the basis of America. If those aren’t everyone’s things – then the divide is not going to be bridged.
Say, those brilliant Republicans are doing great in all those courts, aren’t they? It’s nice that they’re so sincere about getting to the truth, especially now that the trials seem to be finding that truth. They should be really happy to have their work checked like this.
