The secretary of state and chief election officer of Georgia is a Republican. He has confirmed that the counting is accurate. So of course those who can’t accept actual reality that Joe Bide won the popular vote by 4.7 MILLION (and still increasing as the vote count continues), won the Electoral College overwhelmingly, and won not only the popular vote (or as they call it in the rest of the world, “the vote”) by not just the most votes, but an OUTRIGHT MAJORITY.
This was not a close election.
By every metric, this was an overwhelming Biden victory.
It is the largest margin by which a challenger has defeated a sitting incumbent since FDR beat Herbert Hoover in 1932.
I got on my bathroom scale. As the needle kept moving, I yelled, “STOP THE COUNT.”
It didn’t work there, either.
They know. They all know. They are just trying to save face, prevent an unwelcome mean-tweet from the Toddler-in-Chief throwing his tantrum, and maybe hoping for pardons.
Who should have resigned is the guy who flat out refused to lead America in a time of crisis. Refused to enact any national policy or special measures to produce supplies. Refused to promote or even adhere to health and safety guidelines. And instead sat by as 240,000 Americans died preventable deaths.
In any other sane and civilized country in the world, a leader who failed so spectacularly as that should and would have resigned!

With his tiny hands (or is it his brain, I forget) trump needs his opponent to have a considerable handicap to make it a fair fight.
Mike Luckovich, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, is perfectly positioned to treat us all to the circus that’s just now getting getting fully steamed up in Georgia and will be playing thru Tue. Jan. 5 (and probably several days thereafter).
Trump is like the kid who tries to steal a candy bar and gets caught. Instead of just walking away he comes back and burns down the store. This is the guy the Republicans are so deathly afraid of. Cowering in the face of a bully just makes the bully stronger.
I understand that the real beef about Raffensperger is that he was expected to deliver wins for Perdue and Loeffler—and didn’t. What’s the point of having a corrupt Sec’y of State if he can’t even shave a handful of votes off the tally of the guy he wants to lose??
To be clear, I personally have no way of knowing if Raffensperger is actually corrupt, but many Publicans do seem to have the idea that any vote cast for a Democrat is illegitimate, ergo it’s the duty of public officials to keep Democrats from winning.
The incredibly ridiculous part of the Trump / Repub whiners is that they want the counts to stop or continue based on the vote totals and they brag about gaining seats in Congress while saying Trump’s loss is not legitimate. I don’t understand how people can believe in absolutely opposite stuff.
