He did quite some damage to the reputation of the constitution and bent it a bit more than he should have been able to do so (the phrase “aided & abetted” ring a bell, AG Barr?). Turn about is fair play to the extent that putting him someplace and forgetting about him is a big part of suitable punishment. The only spotlight I want to see him in is possibly one from a prison guard tower.
’fraid it will take more than an eraser to remove the stain of trump. Democracy only works when/if the loosing opinion yields. In the US.. the battle is far from over.
Eradicating the disinformation/propaganda/conspiracy-theories and replacing with unbiased reality-basedn truth for the 70 million of the conman’s sycophants will require a greater effort than I’ve ever witnessed from the Democratic party. The right-wing terrorism against our constitutional quasi-democratic republic must be met with an equal force, not passivity as in previous administrations.
Trump is going to do a lot of damage on his way out. Responsible Republicans (are there any?) should step in to limit the damage by making clear statements that the election was fair. If they don’t, they are partners to this political vandalism.
Trumpism is the republikkkan party and is not likely to go away. We need to organize and keep our eyes on the 2022 and 2014 elections. They will no doubt double down to win the House and keep the Senate. We need to get candidates ready and money into the campaigns of vulnerable Demos. The price of freedom is vigilance and hard work.
Meanwhile, folks — take advantage of https://www.defeatbytweet.org/. Every time Trump spews on Twitter, a few pennies (you decide how much, and you cap the monthly total) are charged to your credit card. Millions of dollars donated have gone toward defeating the Orangeutan, plus there is the satisfaction of knowing that every time he mouths off he’s shooting himself in the foot.
The damage he’s done won’t disappear unfortunately. The babies still cry for their parents. The dead still are dead and way too many are joining them. The sick still need care and might suffer long-term damage to their bodies and minds. The economy will grow too slowly for many businesses and employees. I’m sure I’ve missed more damaging effects of this malignant, narcissistic psychopath.
After Nixon I never thought I’d see another president as disgusting but obviously I was wrong. I turned 21 on election day in 1968. The candidates were Richard Nixon, George Wallace and Hubert Humphrey. At the time it seemed like an obvious choice for any civilized voter (Hubert Humphrey) but I was wrong. Nixon won and it took 6 long years before he got on the helicopter and flew away. I do agree with Ford’s pardoning of Nixon when he said “Our long national nightmare is over”. I hope the current crop of politicians are as gracious when our long orange nightmare is over assuming he actually goes away.

Some day – soon – we’ll be able to wake up without 4 and 20 tweets from the head twit. He’ll still tweet, but no one will – you know – bother . . .
LUXURY.

Problem is, Trump will be able to run again in 2024. Hope we’re all ready to oppose him then.

He may not disappear just like that. If he’s not in jail, he’s still eligible to fun again.

He isn’t going away. As long as he is alive and has access to social media he is a danger.
