I’m genuinely confused .

Either this a dream, Nate is going to summer school or some other big punishment, or reverse psychology is happening.

Seems like Godfrey is using reserve psychology or something, and so far it’s working. Gonna be a fun arc to read.

I only read this strip today because I read the newspaper late yesterday. Why was his sister making an online dating profile for their dad? Don’t they have a mom that’s married to him?

Is this becoming a story arc? I can’t believe he’s free!

Social studies is a core course. If he misses the rest of the year, he would not pass the grade, resulting in either him being held back an entire year or him having to repeat the course in summer school. Let’s hope someone talks some sense into him and the arc resolves itself by the end of the week. A C- is always better than an F.

It’s Monday and I don’t like how this arc is heading already…but it’s still a good arc (so far)!

I believe Mrs. Godfrey is not fit to serve. Dereliction of duty.

Desire or lack thereof by either her or Nate has nothing with her teaching Nate. It’s her job to do so. If she feels Nate is beyond teaching, the first thing to do would be to set up a conference with Dad. Godfrey needs to be censured, at the very least.

Apologies, I just don’t like to see the teaching profession maligned this way.

that’s very funny to me because it reminds me of my “English teacher” when I was 20. she just kept harassing me, trying to block me with stupid questions because I was the only one speaking English and I had less accent than the others. I was so fed up and had other works to do besides work after school that I went only if there was a test and ended up with my diploma second in the department. she was SO PISSED I COULDN’T HELP LAUGHING AT HER FACE!

I was kicked out of Geometry class in mid-year and had to spend that period in the library for the rest of the year. I was so happy. Not only did I get to sit in the library and read (I loved to read), I got to hang with the OTHER kids who’d been kicked out of class, who were mostly a year older than me, and really WERE kind of bad (I wasn’t). I loved it.

I think with COVID, kids are experiencing what Nate will experience. It will not be as much fun as he thinks… But will he learn his lesson? Probably not.

But then, he can do 6th grade again next year, and the year after, and the one after that…

I am desperate to know what happens next. This is a promising arc.

Um… Nate doesn’t realize that this is a bad thing! He needs to take social studies so he doesn’t flunk! No seventh grade next year!

Does anyone remember the user FishyBurgerSandwich? Because that was me. I don’t know how I got banned but I did. I thought I was still banned until I got a notification. I don’t know if that was a glitch or if I am back. Also if your wondering if you have seen me before I got banned right after that Shrek guy was gone.

One time a kid in my social studies class was told he could go out and draw. The teacher thought reverse phsycology would work on him but it did’nt.

I think some other teacher is in on this and will also be in the hallway and give him detention.
