So here, from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Economics Department, a discussion of Schumpeter’s “Creative Destruction” and how it’s all Free Market and Entrepreneurialism, etc…
In about 10 or 20 years, buses will be powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The only question is whether they will be manufactured in the U.S. or in China. That depends to a considerable degree on whom we select to occupy the White House for the next four years.
All of the buses in the massive city of Shenzhen, China are now electric. Shanghai is phasing out gas-powered buses as well. The new electric ones are sleek and silent.
Oil is becoming cost inefficient as a source of energy. One of the states in Australia has just become completely independent of petro-energy for buildings, though they’re still burning gas and diesel for transportation.
My little city of Lawrence KS has a battery powered Metro bus and it’s a big ole full sized bus. And guess what Ramirez? It has run all day every day for several years now. It’s coming whether you like it or not.
I wonder what csenhose will say when the bubble finally bursts? It’ll be like in the late 90’s when Pauly Shore’s career was finally over and everyone pretended that they disliked him all along.

Fossil fuels are nonrenewable. Eventually the earth will run out. We need renewable energy, flat and simple.
