Really no surprise. From the time the boy was 13 or 14 he has been hearing the President of the United States support right wing terrorism and ‘2nd Amendment solutions’.
Adults with more than a few elections behind them, elections that feature a wide variety of spin & hyperbole, can usually see through Trump’s shtick — ”Oh, that’s just Trump being Trump. He don’t mean it literally, it’s just to make a point and to own the libs.”
But what of the kids who accord our presidents with the near-sacred ideals of the American experience? At least until they reach maturity, kids don’t have stored reserves of skepticism earned through years of disappointment & empty rhetoric.
People who are in the public eye — be they entertainers, sports stars, or politicians — have a moral obligation to do and say things in the clearest and most understandable way they can. Immature people, whether 17 or 70, have been known to hear that ‘Nazis are fine people’ – and believe it. Presidents who bulls#it too much lose their credibility fast with most of us. With the inexperienced and the idiotic, not so much. Who knows who or what they will shoot up next.

Did I miss something? I haven’t seen anything to implicate the kid as a KKK, boogaloo boy, white supremacist, etc.
