To bbear from yesterday’s comments who said, “My cousin lost his wife to cancer after a ten year battle two days ago. This morning Facebook sent me a reminder that it was her birthday. Thanks Facebook.”
Well, first, I’m sorry to hear of this loss. Cancer stinks. My sister, Martha, bravely fought it for a few years before it took her life 3 years ago in June.
As for Facebook, they just reminded me of a former co-worker’s birthday. She died earlier this year. While I wasn’t terribly close to her, I still considered her a friend. I fully expect that on December 7th, they’ll remind me of my friend Cindy’s birthday and it will only remind me of her sudden death just a few weeks ago. Cindy was very close to me – like a sister. I don’t want reminders of birthdays of people who have died. It makes it hurt all over again.
Last night I got the dreaded phone call that my alcoholic brother that had been living in my house for the last month to dry out but was still going out and drinking has Covid-19. Since everybody in the family he has come in contact with are in the high risk category, we are scrambling to get tested. My test is Friday morning at a Walgreens 13 miles away and is the fast result version.
Although I am exhibiting none of the symptoms, I am so angry that I am unable to concentrate. So here are my 14 pictures for today:
Somehow, I highly doubt Oliver would draw Annie with purple spots. (And even if he did, he wouldn’t do it to be mean.) On another note, saw a chickadee while out walking today. I also saw a Steller’s jay while out in my garden.

If Oliver keeps drawing the comic, Annie doesn’t need to worry about looking that bad. Sweet little Oliver wouldn’t want to hurt her.
