The problem with being at home all of the time is that you see things that need to be taken care of and might as well do it now. Set a schedule or at least one goal, doesn’t have to be a big one. It is so much easier to focus on the little things. It makes accomplishing something once a day and you feel so much better about yourself. The main goal is to ignore everything else around you and focus on the goal of the day.

This reminds me of the writer who talked about the fact that when he put aside time to do some writing, he tended to get distracted and did just about everything BUT write.

Actually this is oddly true. After a 10+ hour day at the home office (aka spare bedroom & what used to be my personal space) I’m exhausted & the commute to the living room or kitchen isn’t’ really enough to decompress & recharge before getting “home”. It makes it really hard to be productive at those “home” things (cleaning, organizing, finances, future plans).

You always find more things to be done than you have minutes in the day to do them. I’ll be able to catch up only if I get help from FEMA.

Kind of an ironic circular logic here, with the home to-do items.

Not saying it isn’t true—in fact, I can totally relate.
