One’s a garage door opener, one’s a calculator, and the third is a markerboard eraser.

All with different shaped holes for wires that are somewhere else.

Ha! I hear you brother! And I always grab the wrong one. Or, in picking it up, manage to push some random, hidden side button that causes some sort of grief! Arrrggghhh!

At least they’re there and not square, daddy-o.

cable, tv, dvr, my phone, her phone, house phone, VCR, AC, heater units, hmmm yep too many

Next version of iPhone will have capability of being the remote for all of your home entertainment, garage doors, smart appliances, etc. all in one app. So you can get rid of all the black boxes and their batteries.

’Course if you lose your phone, it becomes a time machine, taking you back to the 1940s.

And then there’s the problem of two things in a room that use the same command set. We have an air cleaner and a portable heater with that problem, push a button on one control and the other device does something unrelated.

Different colors would help.

God misplaced his remote control. So, we’re stuck on this channel.

For the senior crowd:

You’re old if you tell the whippersnappers that you remember when TVs had three channels and the set was made of wood.

You’re old and tech challenged when you continue trying to turn on the TV and the neighbor calls to tell you that your garage door keeps going up and down.

You’re old if you remember when Johnny said “I’m so old” and the audience yelled out…

As if it is possible to have too many black rectangular things.

That’s why I don’t have a black cat.

A complaint I often make myself.

Sitting at kitchen table – silver polygon (parts are round) for cable box, small black rectangle with colorful buttons for his roku, black rectangle for sony vhs, black wedge for samsung DVD. Small grey rectangle – my Palm Centro, about same size, black, my Blackberry, larger black rectangle – my android.

All are very distinct from each other as are the other similar items in the bedroom and office – I guess maybe one in living room also.
