On November 1st they do give them away. To the local animal shelter.

It took me a minute, but I got it.

Last week, large pumpkin at Aldi’s $2, this week $2.50, huh?

We were invaded by a ‘light’ version of Halloween when Disneyland arrived in Paris but the pumpkin thing hasn’t taken off. And the door to door candy hunt is cancelled for this year due to an upsurge in Covid cases. Buying a pumpkin would be a waste of a good pumpkin.

Women can’t pass up a sale…?

I recently drove across NY and Vermont. It seemed like EVERYONE was selling pumpkins from their yards.

I never cared for pumpkin.

In my small town, I doubt that my Janis will need to barricade the door so that she can keep all of the candy for herself.

Because of virus concerns, we suspect that only a few children will be out for Beggars Night (that’s what we call it here).

My Janis stocked up on candy, though, just in case. (Yeah, right. I know what she’s doing.)

There’s no room on the porch for Trick Or Treaters! Or anyone else for that matter.

I don’t get it.

I don’t think making pies from pumpkins that have been rotting on the porch for several weeks is a good idea…

I’ve been told the original watermelon tasted bad, but we ate it for the water content. Sooo, has anyone know how heirloom pumpkin pie tastes?

For those not getting it: clearly they don’t need another pumpkin, whether half-price or not. This is like if Janis came home with yet another throw pillow. A “women can’t pass up a good sale” gag.
