That was a sudden change in the storyline.

And a new arc begins…

Symptoms : this 1995 cartoon looks so actual .

1993-4 pandemic was Influenza A(H3N2) how soon we forget.

He’s pregnant. Or he’s going through menopause.

Without looking at the archives, \ could this be the PTSD arc beginning?

This isn’t an abrupt change….

Boopsie just came home after being cut from the OJ trial…

BD was in bed, and still is.

But I needed a continuity check anyway, so I searched the archive… yeah yeah… so sue me.

A lot more is tangled together in the old strips…

Trudeau has admittedly curated what we’re seeing now, skipping small swaths of the past for a more concise storyline.

We still have interwoven arcs, but to a lesser degree.

Anyway… we’ve just skipped a few days of this arc…

In 1995, BD says it’s “Gulf War Syndrome.”

Not the flu and nothing to do with his 2000’s Iraq deployment.

I didn’t read ahead, cos I’d already spent too much time…

also because I prefer stay with the story, even though I read all this 25 years ago.

But yeah, I do think this begins his involvement with the VA…

Maybe in a few days/weeks I’ll wish I HAD read some “future 1995” strips, in case my memory is wrong.

LOL.

He’s coming down with a case of ‘Lackanookie’.

Poor BD-entering Manopause at such an early age….

“I’m sorry to say that I have two pieces of bad news for you.”

“Give it to me straight, Doc, I can take it.”

“First, I’m afraid you have cancer.”

“Oh, wow, what a downer. What’s the other one?”

“Sorry to say, you’ve got Alzheimer’s.”

“Man, that sucks. Well, at least I don’t have cancer.”

This memory loss is exhausting.

With that memory loss, no wonder he’s a repubicon!
