When I had a summer job on a tobacco farm, I used part of my week’s wages to buy a half-gallon of lime sherbet, with the idea of sharing it with the others. Nobody else wanted any and we had no refrigeration in our quarters. So, I ate the whole thing with similar results. It does seem like a crime to waste something so tasty (at least the first time).
