I prefer the version where one says “Get Better Soonish”… like in about 45 days – after the election is over and we have avoided the apocalypse.

I certainly DO hope that America gets well soon. America has been sick for awhile now, but nobody on the right seemed to notice. Heck, even after big donor Herman Cain died, nobody on the right said a word. But now that the denier in Chief has been affected (though he’s getting the best care taxpayer money can buy), suddenly they care.

Yes.. do get well, America deserves to beat you at the polls.. and not by some virus. On the other hand.. perhaps, God is giving America a helping hand. Word is He knows all.. and thus is aware of what Russia has cooked up.

I would have been nice if the current resident of the White House would have wished us well, instead of lying about the virus for the last 9 months.

It’s good to remember that the federal government is actually in charge of and runs the health care Trump is getting at Walter Reed.

Given the amount of suffering and death he is responsible for, Covid Donnie deserves a slow and difficult recovery.

It appears that with the efforts of dedicated scientists and health professionals, he’ll have a quick recovery. And you can bet he’ll heap praise on the ones who delivered the meds… and scorn on scientists and others who keep TRYING to get his attention long enough to get him to modify his behavior. Which annoys him totally.

Patriotism does not require sympathy for Trump in the current situation. It is not unpatriotic to note that Trump has (a) never expressed any genuine sympathy (perhaps a maximum of 2 – 3 brief throwaway statements almost certainly insisted on by his staff) to the families of the hundreds of thousands of Americans whose deaths were directly attributable to his deliberate downplaying of the seriousness of the virus, refusal to take early actions that would have helped the US handle the pandemic appropriately, and mockery of public health precautions that would help limit its spread as late as the debate, and (b) his infection is due to the politicization of those precautions and to the fact that he, his family, his inner circle, and his campaign refused to wear masks or establish social distancing at events for themselves or for his audience.
