I’ve said this before. Most of us study history all wrong. We read the back of the book and know all the spoilers.
To truly appreciate history you should not look BACK at it, you need to go back to the time you wish to study and look FORWARD.
To understand Jesus, go back to 1st century Judea and try to think like an ordinary working stiff Jew.
The comic has it wrong, both sides write fiction. Just look at the Lost Cause narrative the South constructed after losing the US Civil War
Wait until he reads the Queen shouting, “Off with their heads“,…shades of the inquisition!
