They snuffed most of our dogs at the ‘Nam pullout. Dogs have served the nation more intelligently, and devotedly, than ANY of our politicians, then, or now. Watching Santorum this morning definitely made me think he needs to spend time on the wrong end of a sentry dog. Maybe he could help train a bomb sniffing dog? (Yes, just like MOS, different dogs are trained for different jobs.)

Nahhh, if they really want to reward this dog, they should retire him from combat and put him up for stud. ( Assuming, of course, he’s still capable )
I’ve heard at least one story that this dog was fitted with Titanium teeth. No idea whether it’s true.
He had no idea of the importance of the raid, of course, All he knew was that he had to serve and protect his pack.

ABC news reported that until recently the dogs WERE fitted with titanium teeth, but not any more.

AOL/Huffington Post reported the titanium fangs, then a disclaimer that the story might not be true. A lot of stories have changed lately.
