Horrible! Throw the book at them!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I recently noticed a movie, that I thought I might like to watch, listed on the TV schedule for the next week; and just a day later I saw the book of the same title get turned into the library. I checked it out and read it before the movie aired. The book was okay. The movie was so bad and only partially followed the book plot, I couldn’t watch it all.

Sounds like “Absolute Power”.

Ive read a number of books that were made into movies

In most cases, more than half the pages are missing

Could have been more horrible. They could have left in every other page and made a …. (gasp) mini-series.

I’m not sure SciFi channel even used half of Ursula K LeGuin’s Earthsea book in their feeble and seriously whitewashed travesty. It was so bad and off target I had to reread the book to make sure I hadn’t lost my mind.

One of the trees in the background is telling the others, “Then, after sawing clean through his healthy, young body, they pulped him and turned him into books!”

Anymore I will not watch a movie made from a book I have read. They are ALWAYS terrible!
