He has been a con man all of his life. If you couldn’t see it before the election, you weren’t paying attention. If you can’t see it now, you’ve drank to much Koolaid, or willfully ignorant.
Trump is exhibiting more and more of the traits of a person with dementia, the fact that he can still recall a series of words, not withstanding. My own father “aced” the cognitive test that Trump took even after we had to take his car keys away because he couldn’t remember to look behind him when backing up. By the time we finally managed to get him into a ‘home’ his nearly new Continental looked like it’d been through a demolition derby.
The problem with Trump is he leads such a closely supervised life that his “missteps” are not always notable.
As Trump and his troll army try to cast Joe as having dementia for the occasional gaffes Joe admits he makes, Trump exhibits, every day, his inability to think, reason, and has a penchant to believe and create conspiracy theories. He is obviously functionally illiterate, and can’t even read at a 2nd grade level.
Like many, his inability to function leaves him frustrated and angry, and he does his best to reject reality, not take any action to correct things when they stare him in his face, if it doesn’t directly enrich him personally in some way. he is a Cult Leader with an adoring group of Cult Followers willing to give their lives (or sacrifice others, more likely) in order to appease and delight their Mad God (Dear leader). Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Charles Manson would be both proud and jealous of his accomplishments.
I worry about a political system that has evolved to deter the best and brightest, the altruists, yet encourages those who seek power and personal gain using any means possible.
I think the push to pack the court if Dems take over is short-sighted.
Instead, take certain steps that are aggressively pro-democracy:- A law that mandates automatic voter registration upon turning 18.- Re-enact the portion of the Voter Rights Act that the right-wing court struck down, overcoming the constitutional objections by having it apply to ALL states, thus removing the court’s objection.- Mandate non-partisan districting nationwide.- Mandate uniform rules for early voting and the number and distribution of voting places and voting machines.
Basically, level the playing field to make it virtually impossible for Republikans to continue stealing elections.
I think the push to pack the court if Dems take over is short-sighted.
On the contrary it is long sighted. Though if the Democrats control the House and Senate when any of the justices get out of line they can be impeached off the bench.
Love the strip, Mr. Bennett, but your rendering of President Fart (the American word for the British term “trump”) is too flattering. Smaller hands, worse hair, and fatter torso would have made him more recognizable.

He doesn’t worry about it. He knows Biden is much more mentally fit, which is why he and his lackeys are working so hard to disparage it.
