So Amy Coney Barrett is a member of a conservative Catholic extremist cult, the “People of Praise” (female counterpart to Opus Dei?), that believes women should be subservient to their husbands, and that husbands should dictate how their wives should vote?
So does that mean “Justice” Coney Barrett’s husband will dictate her Supreme Court opinions to her? So is her husband really the justice being appointed? So when Trump promised to appoint a female justice, and gets Coney Barrett’s husband instead, is that just another broken Trump promise?
Fflashbang, you say “Who is telling Trump who to pick as he knows nothing about law or religion or anything else for that at matter?”
This is true of all his statements that require an education, it is not Trump doing the choosing. In addition to the judge appointments, there is an agenda being carried out that Trump is incapable of understanding, much less in carrying out on his own.
“separation of church and state” seems to be much of a one way street. . government can’t interfere with one’s freedom of religion, but does NOT mean one’s religion can’t interfere with government..
Her existing total record as a judge needs to be thoroughly examined to ensure that she has not allowed her personal views and religious beliefs to overshadow the law. She also has minimal (approximately 2 to 3 years) experience on the federal bench.
Will she have to ask her husband how to rule while on the Supreme Court?
Republicans want to keep women in their place, they want men to tell woman what to do and prevent them from having abortions. Sexist Republicans are afraid of real women and attack them all of the time.
You would have to be a very stupid female to ever vote for any chauvinist republican.
There are several cults associated with the USGov. The Friends, the one that sponsors the National Prayer Breakfast. A lot of conservative christian politicians belong to it. It has a large campus with living quarters somewhere in DC
I’ve been listening to the abortion issue discussed to death since 1966, freshman year at Penn State. Being a male I’ve always thought I have no dog in that hunt. Fortunately I’ve never been asked to take part in making that decision. So, not my issue. My beef with a conservative court is more along the lines of how well will topics like a national health care policy fare in a conservative court. What about issues centered around collective bargaining, a national minimum wage, clean air, clean drinking water, climate change? Conservatives typically break toward ruling in favor of the litigant standing to make the most money. Will this woman turn out to be pro life after as well as before birth and consider the consequences of her decisions for children and families?…. Nah, who am I trying to kid? Expect her to be seated on the bench by election day.
Everyone fears that Trump will lose from the Russians to Mitch McConnell know this. So they are packing the courts to protect their way of messing with our living.
It is perplexing that from 1960 until today, the U.S. flipped from questioning if a president would be bowing to the will of the Pope because he was a Catholic and now there are five Catholics on SCOTUS, plus one more raised RC now Episcopalian.

Cults really are very hard to recognize from the inside. It’s one of the ways you know it IS a cult.
