Wouldn’t it be a hoot if there were also giant trees on this planet and the giant kitty ran straight up one leaving Rip and the kitty a few thousand feet above the ground?

Then the locals have to open up a quarter ton can of Space-Friskies Poultry Platter Pate to coax mega kitty down, and while the kitty is thinking about it Rip falls and is saved by landing in the giant can of poultry platter pate? You have to have smelled that stuff to truly get the joke.

I’m not sure he’s thought this through. He may get a hind leg up the back to scratch him off.

True fact: If you grab a cat firmly by the scruff of his neck and lift (or ride, in this case), the cat will become docile and limp. This is a reflex holdover from kittenhood, when a mother cat will carry her kittens in this fashion, to safety or out of danger or to a new nest.
