I notice no uptick in sales of Discwasher kits. Stupid-assed, moronic Millennials and “hipsters”….

    LPs: 9.2M units.

    Digital album equivalents: 333M.

Let’s not get too crazy here. It’s like outselling cassettes.

I’m glad that I keep all my records from the 50s onward. 45s and 33s.

This makes no sense. You can buy super high fidelity music in digital form, it’s just not MP3 or other compressed format.

With all the kids now loving vinyl, the new turntables are great for those who have been babying older record players. I let my nephew have any of the family-collected albums he wanted, and he was excited to get everything from Nat King Cole to Peter, Paul, and Mary. One of the great things about the Internet and digital music is that the old music is now available for the younger generation to sample.

My grandson [aged 32] is a collector of vinyl LPs. He loves the jazz.
