Sometimes the publicity caravan through the towns is better than the race. But not this year. I remember camping out along the stage routes. If you get in the right place you can pick up quite a few bottles and musette bags and the caravan always has goodies for the crowds.. Many times campers spend more time on the stage than the riders.
