I think that Russia, China and Iran are most involved in affecting how we vote, not in destroying the vote once cast. There is much misinformation out there about the vulnerability of the election process which I think is unfounded. There is still much false “news” being added to social media and faux news outlets to sway voters, mostly toward Dump. But, as Dump is such a total mess, it’ll take a ground swell of fake news from Russia to have much effect on the voting trends.
Just like the last time.. there will be much hand-wringing with promises to fix it.. next time. But the fix is in place.. it will work and trump keeps his crown. As an old saying goes.. “you can’t fight city hall”. And for this election the democrats and independents are up against the full force of trumps fixers.. both internal and external. It will be a miracle it trump loses.. might even make a believer in a higher power out of me.
According to Julian Assange’s lawyer, Trump indirectly (though former Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Trump associate Charles Johnson) offered him a pardon if he would say that Russia was not involved with the hack of the DNC computers in 2016.
It’s a wonder to me how with all the modern anti-hacking mechanisms put in place (or so it seems), how they managed to get in and manipulate our elections! Sounds to me like their was a Russian spy somewhere in the midst or someone else on the inside who was paid very well to do that and was able to expertly cover up there tracks.
