Yep. Heck, I had season tickets to my college hockey team — a perennial doormat until recently, and where the most prominent of their players ever to make the NHL was a celebrated goon. — for a couple of years. I also went to a lot of women’s games, the women’s team being a perennial powerhouse which has produced dozens of Olympians. Cost $600 for two seats for the former; the women’s games were free. Attendance of several thousand for the former. Attendance would maybe get 200 or so for the latter.

In all reality , Look forget about Milford sporting events attendance , have you ever been to the Submarine Races at Lake Milford , want to go Saturday night ? We can have our own wrestling match in the backseat of my car. You’re on , you smooth talking bastard .

Why would I want to go watch a bunch of athletic girls run around in bun shorts and tank tops?

“I’ve never been to a volleyball game.”

“Great, then come to the next one. While you’re there, I’ll break into your house. What have you got that’s especially valuable? My mom needs her drugs!”

So “The Mayor” had to get kicked out of school on a ridiculous charge just so we can introduced to this awful, boring girl? Geez.

This comparing girls sports to boys sports by a bench-warmer on a girls team was already covered when HvB was in high school around 2005. Stupid then. Stupid now.

She could ask this same question to us. And the answer would be the same, because they never feature volleyball at all in this strip! Until this year at least, as a small subplot.

CK has gone from mildly interesting to relentlessly abhorrent in a matter of weeks; while her artwork has varied between decidedly butch to occasionally vampish. R&W, lose this Loser STAT!

Why couldn’t R&W put her on the soccer team or field hockey, since Ravenswing mentioned college hockey. At least she would get kicked or high sticked by the opponent or the Milford Amazons. Let’s face it. The girl has a tough outer shell and responds in kind with defensive replies. Could the nearly buff Will Thayer be the one she opens up to? Bitsy Twill was a tough little acorn until that big lug Wally Lamb softened her heart.

I love this kid. It’s refreshing to see someone who sees through so much of the BS of school.

Ooh, she got him there! Now we get to look forward to the whole basketball team showing up to volleyball and impressing CK so that she eventually decides to go out with Will. Somewhere around mid-December.
