Nothing to do with the fact that the ecosystem is much drier than usual due to actual climate change. Lester is at Payne-stupid level here.

In Lester’s mind “forest mismanagement” means not properly raking.

It’s true that “criminally stupid” ought to have a penalty, but seeing as how we don’t charge any of the legislators with it, we can’t really hold it against ordinary citizens. On the other hand, is he somehow equating arson (a real crime) with gender reveal stupidity? How stupid does he think we are… Oh. Right. Sorry.

I say again, the problems is “Global Warming” (the average temperature of the entire earth is rising), and the rising temperatures are what is causing the climate to change. And, yes, the climate does constantly change, going through cycles, but it does not naturally change nearly as quickly as it is doing now. Also, very large glacial masses in Antarctica are losing ice into the sea from melting, which will cause sea level to rise, possibly as much as ten feet, and, if you don’t think that that is very much, look at how many places are flooding form storm surge now and think, "What if the level during the surge was the normal level (mass flooding) and then another storm hits with it’s surge.

Lester trying hard to divert attention away from climate change the same way Trump is trying to take people’s attention away from COVID-19.

Well, then they all work(ed) for the Federal government because 97% of the land that’s burning is managed by the Feds. I’d love to see more of Trump’s administration go to jail for their incompetence . . . including the big incompetent himself.

3% of forest land in California belongs to the state. 53% is federal. This administration has simply failed again. No surprise.

Climate chaos. Weather is becoming extreme. Human animals’ hubris is coming home to roost. Even if one doesn’t believe in climate change, what’s the cost of doing our best to lessen, as much as possible, the effects of our “high living.” Money. What’s the cost if we do nothing. Who knows? None of us will be here to experience “it.”

Stop listening to tRump and Fox News, do some real research and try to wrap your head around the fact that the conditions that allow things like gender reveal pyrotechnics to start a massive wild fire are brought about by climate change.

No one ever told Lester about the existence of National Forests.

Of course, those with Trump Disciple analysis skills have serious trouble incorporating ANY information that does not fit their narrative.

I will leave this here but you all should be blaming Obama. “The federal government controls 46 percent of California’s land, much of it managed by the U.S. Forest Service. In the three decades before 1990, foresters harvested 10-12 billion board feet of timber from national forests every year. By 2013, restrictive environmental policies cut that to 2.5 billion. While the harvest declined, so too did tree thinning and the clearing of brush and diseased trees. The Trump administration is reversing that trend with the biggest harvest of trees on federal land in 20 years, selling 3.4 billion board feet on some 3 million acres—still just a third of the typical pre-1990 harvest.” oh wait it has to orange man fault bad man. It’s part of this report: https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckdevore/2018/11/16/californias-deadliest-fires-could-have-been-mitigated-by-prevention/#20207db341ba
