IMVPO, the non violent prisoners in CA, OR, WA should be released, given the training to fight wild fires and hired at the same wages paid the professional wild fire fire fighters. IMPO those prisoners could easily be rehabilitated and become tax payers rather than the other way around. Last I read the cost of just 1 person in prison was $25K per year. But that was several years ago.
